The Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center and Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a roundtable discussion on how to make the region a more desirable environment for entrepreneurs, specifically in the technology industry. Featuring a distinguished group of entrepreneurial thought leaders, government leaders, and entrepreneurs -- including YouTube co-founder and former Chicagoan Steve Chen -- attendees discussed the Silicon Valley, regional challenges and potential solutions to enhance the region’s entrepreneurial and investment climate.

Zorch International Named Fastest Growing Company in Chicago
Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center (CEC) client Zorch International Inc. was recently named the number one ‘fast company’ by
Crain’s Chicago Business
for its staggering 45,058 percent growth through the past four years. CEO Nicole Loftus founded the company, a promotional products distributor and supplier, in 2002. As a CEC client, Zorch has received significant support that in part enabled this growth.

CEC's Future Founders Program to be Featured on ABC-7’s “People, Places, Things” Show on August 16 & 24
On August 16, all eyes will be focused on the Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center’s Future Founders program as students, mentors and leaders of the program will be featured on ABC-7’s “People, Places and Things” television show. The Future Founders segment will air on Saturday, August 16 at 6:00 pm on ABC-7, with an encore presentation airing on Sunday, August 24 at 12:30 pm.

The Chicagoland Innovation Leadership Network was created by the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce Foundation to foster new, up-and-coming innovation leaders in the Chicagoland region. The Network convenes several sessions a year to focus on the development of leadership skills, innovation and networking.
